Setelah disiksa dengan cara yang brutal, Galaxy S6 Edge kini harus menghadapi ujian berat lain. Perangkat baru yang diluncurkan awal Maret tersebut dipaksa berendam di dalam air selama 20 menit oleh tim TechSmartt.
Seperti yang kita ketahui, generasi Galaxy S terbaru ini tidak memiliki sifat yang waterproof seperti pendahulunya. Lalu, apakah ia mampu bertahan melewati soak test tersebut?
Dalam video yang diunggah oleh TechSmartt, Galaxy S6 Edge masih mampu berjalan meskipun ia berada di dalam air dan tetap berfungsi ketika diangkat. Namun begitu, kita dapat melihat bahwa air telah meresap ke dalam perangkat. Tanda-tanda yang menunjukkan bahwa ia mengalami kerusakan pun terlihat.

Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy Round – the world’s first smartphone with curved display. The peculiarly designed handset will be available in Korea on October 10.It Looks a lot like a Galaxy S4 which has been slightly curved. The back cover on the other hand, appears to have the same faux leather finish as the one found in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Of course, the big news here is the curved display. It looks to have a fairly pronounced curve, and unlike some concepts weve seen which used the curve to wrap the screen around the side, this first one looks like it is just aiming for ergonomics during the rare times that youre actually using your smartphone as a phone. The curve should make it more comfortable against your face. This is just the first flexible display device, so the more innovative designs are likely still in the works.
One big advantage of using flexible displays is that they are really sturdy and much thinner than ordinary displays. Therefore, these displays could lead to thinner and sturdier devices even if not used in a curved shape.
The Samsung Galaxy Round boots Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, dressed in Samsung’s latest TouchWIz UI. Samsung has naturally added a couple of tricks to utilize the curved screen of the device. They include Bounce UX for controlling the device’s music player by tapping on its sides, and Gravity Effect for interacting with the display by tilting it.

It still isnt entirely clear what the benefits are of a display thats so deeply, horizontally curved like the Round. Maybe it will fit your cheek -- or your pocket. Maybe its because theres less surface area to shatter if you drop the phone and it lands on its face. Or maybe its just because Samsung has the cash to experiment.
